Just through observation of my photo libraries in IOS and Windows, creation date seems to generate from the device and normally stays unchanged regardless if importing to MacOS and then importing those to Windows.
Iām seeing two issues with, ie photos sorted by PS from ā1980ā and ā2000ā are cameras or action/sports cams improperly configured. In these photos it would appear that the timestamp was wrong OR the computer timestamp was wrong when the photos were imported.
The other issue Iām working through are known old photos predating camera timestamps taken in the 70ās and 80ās for example. These photos have the creation date set from whenever the physical photo was digitized and these are showing up from '04 and up. For example, my mom texting digitized pictures from an old family photo album.
It would be a wonderful addition to tag these photos or organize with PhotoStructure, not just by creating an album but actually be able to move these to a specified directory for processing later.
