How to import new pictures automatically?

Hello,
I would like to import new pictures without going to the site. Either by putting in a directory, or with some type of API. I thought the folder import thing would work, but it didn’t seem to show up. How exactly can I set this up? Note I am using docker version.

Adding a watch folder is a feature request that you should vote for:

Add “watched” folders that synchronize as soon as files are added

This feature, along with the use of applications like Resilio Sync, SyncThing, and PhotoSync, would mean photos taken on your phone show up in your PhotoStructure library within seconds. Currently, PhotoStructure scans all paths for changes every day. This interval is configurable via the syncIntervalHours library setting.

Can I control when sync runs?

Is there a way to adjust when/how often PhotoStructure syncs? Right now I have my iPhone backing up nightly at 2 AM. It would be handy if those photos were accessible inside of PhotoStructure that morning without having to run a manual sync. PhotoStructure runs sync every 24 hours, based on when it was started.
